Lost or Stolen Devices If at any point, a portion or all of the 1:1 equipment is lost or stolen, the student or parent/guardian must immediately report it to the school's designated repair location by filling out the EMUHSD Lost or Stolen Device Form (pdf fillable). Copies of the form can also be provided at the school's designated repair center or within the Student Store. Any devices that are reported stolen are must be accompanied by a copy of the police report in addition to the district's form. All submissions will be processed within 2-3 business days and the student is eligible for a loaner device during this time.

When a device is reported as lost or stolen, the district's Information Services (Technology) Department will remotely turn off all device functionality so the device is unusable as well as enable IP/GPS tracking in an attempt to recover the asset. As stated with the Student Technology agreement form, students as well and parents/guardians are responsible for the replacement of the devices. Any and all fees related to lost or stolen items will be assessed onto the student's ASB account. It is the district administration's discretion to reduce or waive fees based on the circumstances of the individual situation. The district's device repair/replacement fee schedule is provided hereNote: If a lost or stolen device is later recovered, the fine will be refunded/credited back to the student's account.
