Academic & Support Programs

EMUHSD offers a wide variety of programs designed to help students prepare for their future careers as well as support their overall well-being.

  • Dual Enrollment & Advanced Placement
Students can earn college-level credit while still in high school. These rigorous academic pathways accelerate learning, save families thousands in college tuition, and ensure students are exceptionally prepared for higher education.
  • Career Technical Education
We offer many Career Technical Education pathways with advanced coursework and hands-on projects to prepare students for careers in industry sectors such as Arts, Media, and Entertainment, Business and Finance, Engineering and Architecture, and Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation.
  • Visual and Performing Arts
Our schools offer an award-winning performing arts education, crucial for developing well-rounded individuals with enhanced creative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • OPL (Online and Personalized Learning)
Our OPL program tailors educational experiences to each student's individual needs, strengths, and learning style. It leverages technology to create adaptive learning environments where students can progress at their own pace, receive customized feedback, and access relevant resources.
  • AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)
The AVID program is designed to prepare students for college eligibility and success. It focuses on helping students, particularly those who may be underserved, develop the skills and behaviors needed to succeed in rigorous coursework and ultimately graduate college and career-ready.
  • Student Wellness Centers
These spaces are designed to support students' physical, emotional, and social well-being. These centers provide a safe and inclusive environment where students can access resources and services that address a range of needs, including mental health, counseling, community engagement, and peer support. They also offer a physical space for rest, relaxation, and self-care.
